Mourners gathered in Tehran for the opening of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s six-day funeral, chanting anti-US and anti-Israel slogans and calling for revenge. Officials said up to 15 million people may attend as ceremonies continue in Iran and Iraq before burial in Mashhad.
