CBS News has declined to renew the contract of 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi following a dispute with editor-in-chief Bari Weiss over a segment on Venezuelan prisoners. Alfonsi characterized the move as a penalty for refusing to sanitize her reporting.
