Republican Senator Thom Tillis dropped his opposition to Kevin Warsh’s nomination as Fed chair after the DOJ ended its investigation into current chair Jerome Powell. The move clears a major path for Trump’s pick, with a Senate Banking Committee vote scheduled for Wednesday.
