A Brazilian senator said former intelligence chief Alexandre Ramagem has been detained by ICE and is seeking U.S. political asylum. Ramagem was sentenced to 16 years in prison for his role in the 2023 coup attempt and, Brazilian police say, fled before serving the sentence.
